“Russia and Vietnam stand for the formation of a more just democratic system of international relations based on the supremacy of international law and the principles of the UN Charter, including the sovereign equality of states, territorial integrity, equality and self-determination of peoples, non-interference in the internal affairs of states, non-use of force or threat of force, settlement disputes by peaceful means, ”- said in a joint statement.
The document emphasizes that unilateral coercive measures and economic sanctions bypassing the UN Security Council and in violation of international law are unacceptable.
Earlier, Vladimir Putin, during negotiations with the President of Vietnam, said that Russia values the achieved level of strategic partnership with this country.
