Two young homeless men were on trial Monday in immediate appearance before the Saint-Malo court for violence in meetings and degradation.

In the company of three friends, the two individuals broke into an old building in the corsair city unoccupied for several years on November 24 to spend the night there, reports

.

Used to making patrols to watch over their property, the three owners of the building saw the light upstairs and immediately notified the police.

Once inside, they discovered that the front door had been broken and that five people were squatting in their building.

Eight days of ITT for the victim

The situation then became tense when two of the squatters violently hit one of the owners who asked them to leave.

Punched and kicked, the victim was seriously injured in the head and face and got away with eight days of temporary interruption of work (ITT).

The two attackers, aged 18 and 26, were sentenced to three and six months in prison respectively.
