Åsa Hägglöf will never forget the call that her daughter Malin Söderström made on Friday morning.

She was stuck in her apartment on the fourth floor and it burned down.

- She shouted "help me", says Åsa Hägglöf who is still cut by the experience.

After first letting the dog down to safety, she made the decision to jump herself to save her life.

On the ground below, Malin's partner, Daniel Sundkvist, was ready to catch her estimated fifteen meter high fall.

- He said there was no other alternative.

She had no choice, says Åsa Hägglöf.

The cats also survived

There were also two cats in the apartment hiding from the fire.

When smoke divers were able to arrive at the scene, one of the cats was first found unharmed.

One and a half days later, the other cat was also found - affected by smoke but otherwise unharmed.

- Yes, what can one say.

It is a miracle, says Åsa Hägglöf.
