The UAE pavilion at "Expo 2020 Dubai" celebrated Martyr's Day, in honor of the sacrifices of the martyrs of the United Arab Emirates, and in appreciation of their families and the honorable model they presented. Special ceremonies were held at the memorial to the "people of pride", and the flag was lowered at eight in the morning.

At 11:30, Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence, Commissioner-General of Expo 2020 Dubai, Minister of Culture and Youth, Commissioner-General of the Emirates Pavilion, Noura Al Kaabi, Minister of State for International Cooperation and Director-General of Expo, Reem Al Hashemi, participated in the event. , with a minute of silent supplication, which was followed by the raising of the UAE flag accompanied by the national anthem.

Representatives of the participating countries participated in the international event, and laid wreaths at the martyr's memorial at the site.

On Martyr's Day, the United Arab Emirates recalls the memory of loyal men who gave their most precious possessions for the sake of truth and the homeland, so that the flag of the Emirates remains high, and for its people to live in security, stability and happiness.

Reem Al-Hashemi, Minister of State for International Cooperation and Director-General of Expo 2020 Dubai, said: “Today we stand with reverence and greatness in the memory of the righteous martyrs, who are alive with their Lord, and immortal in the memory of the nation, and their names are engraved in the heart of every Emirati, because they wrote with their blood. The cleanest pages of patriotism, giving and sacrifice.

They were our last and bravest, because they rose to the homeland when it called them, and defended the truth and the land they loved.

They were generous to us because they did not spare a soul or blood so that we could live in safety and security, and the flag of our emirates would remain hovering in the sky of the nation.

The sacrifices of our martyrs illuminate the path of future generations. Today, 192 countries participating in (Expo) join us in commemorating Martyr’s Day, to express their appreciation for the sacrifices of our martyrs, before whom we bow in reverence for what they offered to the emirates of unity, love and peace.

They have mercy, and we have their eternal memory.”
