New details about the return of Egyptians to perform Umrah
The Vice-President of the Federation of Egyptians in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Adel Hanafi, confirmed that hours ago, the door to Umrah was opened for Egyptians.
Al-Watan newspaper quoted the Vice-President of the Federation of Egyptians in Saudi Arabia, that the requirements for performing Umrah are simple, requiring only the pilgrim to receive one dose of the approved vaccine within Saudi territory, and with regard to those receiving the Chinese or Russian vaccine, he will be quarantined only for a period of three days, inside Saudi territory.
The Vice-President of the Federation of Egyptians in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia pointed out that the return of direct flights between the two countries, starting from Wednesday, is important news, but it includes a package of conditions, the first of which is that the traveler must perform a “pcr” test before leaving Egypt, and it is not required to have any Vaccines inside Egypt, and once he arrives, he will be given the approved vaccines inside Saudi territory, in addition to registering through the “Qudoom” platform.
And the vice-president of the Federation of Egyptians in Saudi Arabia continued: “You do not have to be vaccinated before traveling to Saudi Arabia, but you must have a pcr and register on the (Qudoom) platform, and all members of the Egyptian community there know the platform well, and as soon as the Egyptian citizen arrives, he will be institutionally quarantined for a period of five days in one of the hotels approved by the Saudi government at the expense of the expatriate, and in the event that it is proven that he is smear-negative, he will receive the vaccine from Saudi Arabia for free.”
The Vice President of the Federation of Egyptians in Saudi Arabia explained that the citizen coming to Egypt does not take a “pcr” smear, because he has two doses of a vaccine approved by Saudi Arabia, but he must register through the “My Health” platform, where the medical report is printed, adding: “The traveler from Saudi Arabia to Egypt does not have PCR because he took two approved vaccinations.
