On the evening of November 28, local time, a Panamanian cargo ship rammed the breakwater at Hakata Port in Fukuoka City, Japan, causing its bow to directly hit the dam. The entire hull could not move, and the bow of the ship had begun to leak oil.

The Maritime Security Department of Fukuoka City, Japan stated that there were 20 Filipino crew members and 2 Japanese crew members on board, and no one was injured.

The ship is in stable condition and there is no danger of sinking for the time being.

At present, the patrol boat of the Japanese Ministry of Maritime Security is arranging oil baffles around it to prevent the oil from spreading further.
