Tsivilev said that all mines in the region are working.

He noted that the commission will check "all mines and open-pit mines, not only coal ones", as well as all mining operations.

Based on the results of the check, a conclusion will appear.

"[Now] we have no gross violations that would have allowed the mines to be closed altogether," the TASS governor was quoted as saying.

Earlier it was reported that the Prosecutor General's Office of Russia, together with other supervisory authorities, checked 31 mines in the Kemerovo region after the accident at Listvyazhnaya, 449 violations were recorded as part of the checks.

On November 25, an accident occurred at the Listvyazhnaya mine in Kuzbass, as a result of which 51 people died.

According to preliminary data, the explosion of methane is considered the cause of the emergency at the mine.

The Investigative Committee opened several cases.
