29 November 2021The match between Jannik Sinner and the Croatian Marin Cilic ended in favor of the blue after more than 2 hours and 40 minutes, in three sets.
The first 6-3 in favor of Cilic, the second at the tie-break 7-6 for Sinner, and the third again at the South Tyrolean 6-3.
Italy and Croatia will play for the place in the Davis Cup semifinal in the doubles.
"It's an indescribable feeling. I tried to stay in the match, even in the most important moments. Twice I managed to recover a break, I gave my best. Now let's see what will happen in the double."
