A 16-year-old teenager was arrested in Seyssins (Isère) on Saturday and taken into police custody.

He was wanted in the context of the assault on a 15-year-old boy on November 21 in front of the Grenoble station (Isère), reports

The suspect had been formally recognized by a witness.

His arrest by the Grenoble gendarmes took place as he was leaving the home of a relative.

A repeat offender, he was already wanted for similar facts.

The teenager allegedly stabbed the victim four times, a former resident of the home in which the arrested had lodged in the past.

A complaint filed

According to a specialized educator present at the scene, he had threatened his target already on the ground with a handgun and shouted: "I'm going to kill him!"

The witness had put the suspect to flight.

The victim was seriously injured and taken care of by the emergency services.

She has had two surgeries and may have a third.

A complaint has been filed.
