The case of Cristiano Ronaldo would in particular be in the sights of investigators according to the Italian National Press Agency (ANSA).

The Portuguese player

arrived at Juventus

in the summer of 2018. A transfer amounting to 100 million euros.

His return to

Manchester United in August

was for 15 million euros to which is added 8 million depending on his performance.

Artificially inflated player values

In addition to Cristiano Ronaldo, six club leaders are said to be affected.

In a press release, Juventus de Turin confirms that among the names cited by the Italian media are President Andrea Agnelli, Vice-President Pavel Nedved as well as former sports director Fabio Paratici who is now in England at Tottenham.

The Italian Football Federation (FIGC) is also investigating a series of questionable transfers, most of which involve Juventus.

The club allegedly artificially inflated the value of its players for accounting reasons or traded players to balance the books.
