6 Sudanese soldiers killed in an Ethiopian attack

Sudanese military sources said today that six soldiers of the army, including two officers, were killed in an attack by Ethiopian forces on their Sudanese counterpart near the border between the two countries.

And the Sudanese army said in a statement earlier today that its forces in Al-Fashqa Al-Soghra "were subjected to assault and attack by groups of the Ethiopian army and militias... Our forces responded to the attack valiantly and inflicted heavy losses on them in lives and equipment."

The army statement did not give any details about the loss of life.
