“Fifty Years Together” .. Celebrating Masterpieces in the Global Village

The Global Village continues to organize many surprises for its guests during the current month, leading up to the first week of December, as part of its celebrations of the 50th UAE Federation Day. From the first to the fourth of December, guests will enjoy unique experiences in a world of festive masterpieces. The festivities will continue for a whole month, from its launch on Flag Day, to the long weekend of December 1, 2, 3 and 4, which will witness performances of many artworks, as well as a range of exceptional entertainment programs and exciting competitions.
The Global Village invited its guests to join it and celebrate the fiftieth anniversary of the Union under the slogan “Fifty Years Together”, where the main theater will shine with a spectacular show of the operetta “Bright Years”, which will be performed by the Ornina Theater Company, during the period between the first and fourth of December, in cooperation with the two Emirati stars. Dr. Habib Ghuloom and Fatima Al Balushi, who participated in their vocal performance during the operetta, directed by Nasser Ibrahim.
The celebration will also include spectacular performances by the National Youth Orchestra of Dubai, where more than 60 young musicians will perform the national anthem, as well as a 60-minute set of classical pieces from the most famous composers, enriched with melodies that celebrate the collaboration.
In addition, the Global Village is organizing a competition for children in cooperation with the Dubai Culture and Arts Authority, revolving around Emirati culture, where guests will compete in the Children’s Theater every Thursday and Friday until December 4, 2021. The competition aims to shed light on the topics of innovation and exploration and enhance the creative imagination of the Children, by answering a set of questions centered around the heritage of the Emirates, with a chance to win a range of special prizes.
To celebrate the occasion, Global Village, in cooperation with the Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum International Photography Award, launched a photography competition, under the slogan “Fifty Years Together”.
The competition receives entries that are concerned with the consolidation of cultural diversity and tolerance, captured by amateur and professional lenses.
The competition started on the 3rd of November 2021 and will continue until the 2nd of next December, in which the winners of the first three places will receive prizes amounting to 102,000 dirhams.
