In a complicated situation as much in the polls as with the heavyweights of the Socialist Party, Anne Hidalgo announces that she has the 500 signatures of mayors needed for the 2022 presidential election. Her campaign is now certain to go to completion, but many difficulties remain for the Parisian councilor.

Good news in trompe-l'oeil?

Anne Hidalgo has just completed a difficult week of meeting in several provincial towns.

A tour to get away from the "bocal of Parisian entre-soi", five months before the presidential election, which sometimes took the form of a three-quarters empty room.

Despite everything, the mayor of Paris is now assured of seeing his campaign to its end, thanks to the sacrosanct 500 signatures.

Anne Hidalgo is the first leftist candidate to claim them.

4% in the polls, complicated financing ...

However, the magic does not take around the city council, blocked at 4% in the polls.

And this is far from being the only element that works against the candidate.

Despite Olivier Faure's proposal to mortgage the real estate of the Socialist Party, no bank wants to lend money to the party, so campaign financing is a concern.

A forgotten signature resurfaces ...

Support side, the situation is not much better: Anne Hidalgo is not only contested in her own campaign team, but also dropped by several former heavyweights of the PS, like Ségolène Royal, who pleads for "the union of the lefts" in 2022. Another executive concludes at the microphone of Europe 1: "What plagues Anne Hidalgo is her record in Paris."

... and a Yannick Jadot in ambush

Without forgetting that a Yannick Jadot at 9% in the polls remains in ambush and keeps calling on the mayor of Paris to join him.

At the same time, he is also negotiating support for the Left Radical Party, which is still very influential in a campaign.

The Greens recall that without an agreement in the presidential election, there will be no agreement in the legislative elections.
