Jörhag has been a municipal councilor, and chairman of the program committee Children and Education since the last election.
She has now requested dismissal from her post, but will continue to be a member of the party.

It is a position of trust I have carried with pride and not taken lightly.
For private reasons, I have decided not to run in the local elections next term.
Therefore, I have requested dismissal from my assignment as municipal councilor, says Marlene Jörhag, municipal councilor (KD) with responsibility for school issues in Örebro municipality.
The party is now starting the process locally by looking for her successor.
The nomination committee works in parallel with the list of people who are running for municipal council during the next term.
The list will be approved at the annual meeting in February.
