China News Service, November 25. According to the official WeChat message of the Memorial Hall of the Victims of the Nanjing Massacre by the Japanese Invaders, Yu Aizhen, a victim of the "comfort women" system, died in Pingjiang County, Hunan Province at 5 am on November 24, 2021. He is 98 years old.

There are currently less than 20 victims of the Japanese military "comfort women" sexual violence system registered alive.

Yu Aizhen, a native of Pingjiang, Hunan, was born in March 1924.

In 1944, he was captured by the Japanese army and locked up in the local comfort station. After ten days, he fled back by himself.

Yu Aizhen never mentioned this experience to others. Because she was unable to have children after marriage, Yu Aizhen adopted a son.

When the daughter-in-law needed birth control after giving birth to her third child, Yu Aizhen begged her daughter-in-law not to do so.

At this time, she told her daughter-in-law about her abuse by the Japanese, saying that she had been bullied by the Japanese to have no children of her own.

Yu Aizhen loves her children very much, and all three grandchildren were brought up by her.

At the beginning of this year, the old man’s health was very weak, and his condition has improved somewhat under the careful care of his family.

But a month ago, when the staff of the Memorial Hall of the Victims of the Nanjing Massacre by the Japanese Invaders visited China, the old man’s body was repetitive again.

Yesterday morning, the staff received bad news during the investigation in Huarong, Hunan. The old man passed away at 5 o'clock on November 24 due to old age and physical frailty.

In the afternoon, the staff rushed to Pingjiang County to present a wreath to the elderly for the last time.

The old man has gone with the wind, but she will always stare at this period of history, waiting for justice to come.

May the elderly be well in heaven, and may the afterlife be treated with tenderness.
