Today, the trains roll past Billesholm station, but there is still some work to be done with the completion of the station area itself.

Construction has now come to a complete halt after the news that the Danish construction company Barslund has gone bankrupt.

Although the station construction risks being delayed, the hope is that the ongoing trains will be able to stop there as planned on the twelfth of December.

The same goes for the buses.

- What we assess today is that the traffic start for the trains is not affected, says Niklas Ögren, planning manager in Bjuv municipality.

Left tools

Opposite the platform, the bus stops have begun.

There, the craftsmen have left their tools in the mounds.

- We are trying to find different solutions to finish building the bus stop, says Niklas Ögren.

According to Niklas Ögren, the worst case scenario is that the municipality ends up in a dispute with Barslund's bankruptcy trustee so that the construction cannot be completed.

- There may be a standstill over the month of December, he says.

Inauguration on the twelfth of December

Despite the announcement, the municipality hopes for an inauguration of the station in three weeks.

- It would have been finished by the twelfth of December, but there is still some work to be done, says Mikael Henrysson (SD), chairman of the municipal board.
