These facts are punishable by life imprisonment, "Grenoble prosecutor Eric Vaillant said in a statement.

. According to the daily, the victim, who was urgently hospitalized in a burn care center in Lyon, had started the evening with the two suspects. The evening continued at his home.

The nature of their relationship was not specified.

Against a background of alcoholism, the forty-something was then raped before being sprayed with hydroalcoholic gel that her attackers set on fire.

"The firefighters and police from the Voiron police station were called shortly after 4 hours by the victim who was found lying in his apartment, still conscious but very seriously injured", adds the Dauphiné Libéré, specifying that the victim was burned over 30% of the body.
