The Regional Council decided last year that there will be a new regional train line between Varberg and Gothenburg from 2026. The trains will then probably stop in Väröbacka, Åsa, Kungsbacka and Mölndal.
Kungsbacka's municipal board decided on Tuesday to produce a basis for being able to write a letter of intent with the Swedish Transport Administration and Region Halland about a station building.
