The report has not yet been broadcast as Nicolas Hulot is already making his decision.

Our colleagues of Special Envoy have indeed collected new testimonies accusing the former Minister of Ecology of sexual assault.

Of which act!

Faced with what he describes as rumors, Nicolas Hulot therefore withdraws.

“

I will be stepping down from the honorary presidency of my foundation.

Why am I doing it?

Because I want to protect them from the dirt that I will take in the days to come.

And, in the process, no more because my conscience would not be quiet, I definitively leave public life simply because I am disgusted

.

It means that from now on, I live for my family, my friends.

I am leaving my engagement and I will not speak again.

 "

Already a complaint in 2008

This is not the first time that such facts have been accused of Nicolas Hulot.

A complaint had been lodged against him by Pascale Mitterrand in 2008. The granddaughter of the former President of the Republic accused him of a rape committed in 1997. The case was dismissed because of statute of limitations while the facts did not seem established according to the prosecutor at the time.

This time, it is the testimonies of several women which were collected by the journalists of Special Envoy.

The report will air this Thursday.

A report in which Nicolas Hulot did not wish to speak.
