According to the Danish bankruptcy trustee, the calculations in the motorway project have failed.

This has led to some disputes between the Swedish Transport Administration and Barslund regarding payments.

- There have been disagreements between the company and the Swedish Transport Administration to what extent extra payment would be paid for extra work, says Henrik Steen Jensen, bankruptcy trustee to SVT.

Has gone 10 million backwards - a month

He is partially supported by the Swedish Transport Administration, which downplays the importance of the extra payments.

- There have been some additions, as there will be in most cases.

And there have been some disagreements, but nothing that is of enormous proportions, says Mattias Eriksson at the Swedish Transport Administration.

- We have had some financial discussions regarding extra work, but nothing that is in relation to the size of the contract.

The rebuilding of the E4 between Ljungby and Toftanäs costs the state more than one billion kronor.

Barslund had a contract worth approximately SEK 750 million, and the company will have SEK 10 million back a month on the E4 construction, reports Helsingörs dagblad.

It is unclear whether subcontractors will be paid

At present, road construction is at a standstill while the Danish bankruptcy trustee is trying to reconstruct the company.

According to the bankruptcy trustee Henrik Steen Jensen, it is still unclear whether the bankruptcy estate will be able to pay all invoices from subcontractors in Ljungby.

At present, the Swedish Transport Administration is not looking for a new contractor who can finish building the road.

- We must wait and start a discussion with the bankruptcy trustee.

In the meantime, we work to keep the road open, passable and safe, says Mattias Eriksson.
