Denis Protsenko, the chief physician of the hospital No. 40 in Kommunarka, announced the need for concrete action in the fight against coronavirus infection.

He wrote about this in his Telegram channel.

“Empty talk and reasoning cannot stop the pandemic, we need to act, otherwise we will continue to struggle with the consequences of the fifth, sixth, seventh ... waves.

All of you who doubt the power of vaccination, talk about restrictive measures, publicly mislead their supporters, ”he stressed.

Protsenko noted that at present there is a "real war" with COVID-19, more than a thousand people die every day who have not prepared their bodies to meet the virus.

Protsenko stressed that vaccination remains the only salvation from coronavirus.

At the same time, he drew attention to the fact that there are people who, in response to the facts, try to give "counterarguments" about vaccination, which can be heard from "fellow citizens who are quite well-known and respected in our country."

“Therefore, my colleagues and I decided to address with an open letter to everyone who continues to disbelieve in the seriousness of what is happening,” he said.

This is an open letter published by doctors from a number of Russian hospitals.

In it, doctors turned to famous people opposed to vaccination against COVID-19, and invited them to visit the red zones, where patients with coronavirus are being treated.

“We know your position on the vaccination of Russian citizens against COVID-19.

We're all a little busy right now, and you can probably guess what.

However, given how many people read, listen and listen to you, we will find time to guide you through the "red zones", intensive care units and pathology departments of our hospitals.

Maybe after that you will change your position and fewer people will die, ”the doctors said in a letter.

Press Secretary of the Russian President Dmitry Peskov said that the Kremlin assesses the open letter of doctors "very positively".

“We are no different from other countries in the world - there is still a limited circle of people who are pessimistic about vaccines, who buy fake vaccination certificates for bribes, which is a crime.

All over the world it is a fixed circle of people.

It is to such people that the appeal of our heroes-doctors is addressed ... It is hoped that the indisputable authority of doctors will help at least some of these people change their point of view, ”he said.

She also added that the level of laboratory research coverage to identify the causative agents of the virus has been increased to 300 studies per 100 thousand of the population, 28 regions have not met these standards over the past week.

Vaccination against coronavirus

Denis Logunov, deputy director of the Gamaleya Research Center for Epidemiology and Microbiology, in an interview with RT, noted the key role of herd immunity in defeating coronavirus.

He clarified that the main goal that humanity must achieve first of all is to obtain collective immunity and reduce mortality.

“Reduce the burden on medical units, so that there are not so many hospitalizations, so that doctors have time to cope and provide medical care.

To make the course of the infection much easier than it is now, ”he said.

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said yesterday that millions of people in Russia and abroad were vaccinated with the Russian Sputnik V coronavirus vaccine.

“If we take Sputnik, then the president cited figures, if we take Russian citizens abroad, 120 million people have already been vaccinated.

And no one, thank God, is observing any side effects, ”the minister said.
