Deputy Director of the Research Center for Epidemiology and Microbiology named after V.I.

Gamalei Denis Logunov said that Russia issued a registration permit for a vaccine against coronavirus infection for children from 12 to 17 years old.

"Today, permission has been received to use Sputnik in the child population, the vaccine has received registration," RIA Novosti quoted Logunov as saying.

As Deputy Prime Minister Tatyana Golikova noted at a meeting between Russian President Vladimir Putin and the government, with a favorable outcome, this vaccine will go into civilian circulation at the end of December.

“We have more than 40 days of control there,” she said.

Vladimir Putin, during a meeting with members of the government, said that he had been revaccinated against coronavirus infection.

The Russian leader noted that six months after vaccination, his protective titers dropped, and experts recommended a revaccination procedure.

The head of state specified that he first gave a second injection, and the next day he tested the nasal form of the vaccine.

“To be honest, I didn't have any feelings, just nothing.

I just sat and walked for 15 minutes, ”Putin said.

The President noted that he had already gone in for sports in the morning.

“So I can testify that everything is developing the way our scientists and experts say, everything is so.

Let's see what the result will be in terms of increasing protective captions, ”he said.

Presidential press secretary Dmitry Peskov said that Vladimir Putin had received a nasal vaccine against coronavirus infection COVID-19 in the form of a liquid.

“This is a nasal vaccine in which he took part in the trials,” he said.

As Peskov noted, a nasal vaccine was injected into Putin's nasopharynx and nose the day after revaccination with Sputnik Light.

He added that there were no side effects from the president.

During the meeting, Putin also recommended that the Russians go through the procedure of both vaccination and revaccination in a timely manner, recalling that this is extremely important.

“In order for us to achieve the overall required level of immune protection and immunity, we need to go through the first phase of vaccination in order to start revaccination in a timely manner, and then our people will be protected,” the president said.

The head of state also suggested thinking about creating a vaccine against coronavirus infection for children from two years old.

At the same time, Putin stressed that vaccination "should be voluntary, especially for children."

Deputy Prime Minister of Russia Tatyana Golikova noted that at the moment a decrease in the incidence of COVID-19 is observed in 33 regions, the most significant is in St. Petersburg, Moscow and the Moscow region.

The incidence rate is exceeded, according to her, in five regions - Novgorod, Amur, Tomsk regions, Khabarovsk Territory and Crimea.

In general, at the end of the last week, the incidence of new coronavirus infection in Russia decreased by 6.1% and amounted to 175.6 people per 100 thousand of the population, Golikova said.

She also warned that the country will have a new epidemic rise in coronavirus, noting that other countries have not escaped this.

To pass it most safely, in Russia it is necessary to significantly reduce the incidence and achieve certain indicators of herd immunity.

“And he (an epidemic rise. -

) will be, unfortunately, other countries have not escaped it.

And therefore, it is important that we all observe the appropriate discipline here and adhere to the consolidated decisions that have been worked out, ”the Deputy Prime Minister noted.

Golikova said that the level of collective immunity to coronavirus infection COVID-19 in Russia has currently reached 50.4%.

At the same time, the Deputy Prime Minister noted that "in the country as a whole, we have not yet noted a significant decrease in the mortality rate."

“As before, more than 1,200 of our citizens die every day - this is a serious, dramatic statistics.

And I would like to note once again that it is mainly citizens 60 years of age and older that are leaving this life.

As a rule, these are people who suffered from chronic diseases, were registered at the dispensary.

And, unfortunately, the majority, the absolute majority of them neglected to get vaccinated, ”Golikova said.
