Today, a full-time job is spent managing the printing house, which delivers printed material to the municipality's operations and some companies and associations in Strängnäs.
When the municipality's officials did an internal study of the activities, they came to the conclusion that it is not part of the municipal core mission.
There is also a risk that the municipality exposes private actors to competition.
The proposal is therefore that the printing house be closed down.
According to the decision basis, it will not be more expensive for the municipality to print elsewhere.
Even if the prices are higher at a private printing company, the municipality saves operating costs.
The issue will be raised for a decision at the municipal board meeting on 24 November.
