Three Star restaurants

in the prestigious Michelin Guide

have been confirmed

, three special prizes: the one for the dining room service went to Matteo Zappile of the Il Pagliaccio restaurant in Rome, two Michelin stars. The 2022 sommelier award to Sonja Egger of the Kuppelrain restaurant in Castelbello in Bolzano. The chef mentor award to Nadia Santini From the fisherman in Canneto sull'Oglio, Mantua.



Green star to 15 new restaurants 


The sustainability award, or the

Green Star

, introduced last year, went to 15 restaurants from north to south: Ps Ristorante in Cerreto Guidi, Mater terrae in Rome, Antica inn al cervo in San Genesio, Lerchner's in Rungeen in San Lorenzo di Sebato Agritur El mas di Moena, Osteria enoteca Gambrinus in San Polo di Piave, Venissa in Venice, Sanbrite Agricucina in Cortina d'Ampezzo, Le Trabe di Paestum, Signum in Salina, Aminta Resort in Gennazzano, La Cru di Romagnano, La Preséf in Mantello (Sondrio), Casamatta restaurant in Manturia , Terra restaurant in Sarentino.

Confirmations from Gambero Rosso

all the big names in the list of 41 confirmed

, with four new entries, restaurants awarded with the "Three Forks", maximum recognition of the guide directed by Laura Mantovano. The four new entrances are all from the Center-South: "Tre Forchette" at Dani Maison in Ischia (Naples), Idylio by Apreda of The Pantheon Iconic Rome Hotel in the capital, Andreina in Loreto (Ancona), Enoteca La Torre at Villa Laetitia in Rome. 



There are entrepreneurs of international caliber: Niko Romito del Reale in Castel di Sangro (L'Aquila), Massimo Bottura with Osteria Francescana in Modena and Heinz Beck in La Pergola of the Hotel Rome Cavalieri, on the podium in the first three positions. And there are also the most media-oriented chefs such as Antonino Cannavacciuolo with Villa Crespi in Orta San Giulio in Novara, Gennaro Esposito at the Torre del Saracino in Vico Equense (Naples). Davide Oldani and his restaurant D'O in Cornaredo (Milan), Gianfranco Vissani of Casa Vissani in Baschi (Terni), and Carlo Cracco awarded in Milan as "the restaurateur of the year".



In the thirty-second edition of the Gambero Rosso guide, 2700 businesses are reported with 245 novelties. The number of exercises indicated with "Three Prawns" increased to 32 and the Special Prizes rose to 42. Among these, Luigi Salomone of Re, Santi e Leoni in Nola (Naples) was designated an emerging chef.



Ratings and rankings that "want to be a stimulus - said the curator Laura Mantovano, at the presentation in Rome - to further raise the bar. Italian catering can once again be a driving force for all Italian agri-food, thanks to a real game team and the indispensable support of the institutions.
