Vienna will witness, on November 29, the resumption of talks to revive the Iranian nuclear deal, as Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian stressed the need for all parties to return to their commitments under the agreement, while Iranian Assistant Foreign Minister Ali Bagheri Kani said that the main topic of the talks It is the repercussions of the United States' withdrawal from the nuclear agreement and the lifting of sanctions.

Majid Rafizadeh, the American political analyst and head of the American International Council for the Middle East, says in a report published by the American Gatestone Institute, that Iran intends to maneuver to obtain major concessions from the administration of US President Joe Biden and the European Union troika (France, the United Kingdom and Germany) during the talks. next nuclear.

Penalties

The Iranian regime wants the Biden administration to lift all the sanctions that were imposed on Tehran during the administration of former President Donald Trump, many of which are not even related to the nuclear program, but are linked to terrorist activities and human rights violations by the Iranian regime, and one of the important examples of this serious classification The Iranian Revolutionary Guard is a terrorist organization.

It is known that the Revolutionary Guards are responsible for maintaining the authority of the Supreme Leader and the regime's revolutionary ideals, which include anti-Americanism.

Inside Iran, the Revolutionary Guards campaign against and silence opposition to the regime, participate in suppressing opponents and suppress freedoms of expression, press, and assembly, and imprison, torture, and execute opponents through its revolutionary courts.

Revolutionary Guard intervention

Rafiq Zadeh, a member of the Harvard International Review's board of directors, added that the effects of the Revolutionary Guards' intervention in many international conflicts, including those taking place in Syria, Iraq, Yemen and Lebanon, can also be seen, especially through the "Quds Force", an elite branch. of the Revolutionary Guard.

Rafiqzadeh added that the Biden administration has already acquiesced to the demands of Iran's rulers, as it has not only announced its willingness to lift sanctions related to the Iranian nuclear program, but is also considering lifting sanctions that are not related to the program.

The US administration has also rescinded the designation of the Houthis, a terrorist group backed by Iran, as an officially designated terrorist organization.

In a letter, Republican foreign policy leaders in Congress asked US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken for answers about questions about secret talks with South Korea that resulted in South Korea giving the Iranian regime a $1 billion ransom.

The letter was led by Rep. Brian Steele, Republican of Wisconsin, Rep. of Florida, Greg Stube, and Rep. of Indiana, Jim Banks, chair of the GOP Study Committee.

"The Biden administration appears to be using loopholes when dealing with the Iranian regime," Steele said. "Again I ask direct yes or no questions about the United States' involvement in facilitating South Korea's ransom payments to Iran."

He added, "If the Biden administration is involved in transferring funds to Iran, then Congress and the American people must be informed of this matter."

And he continued, "Biden administration officials continue to evade and refuse to answer questions from members of Congress regarding this issue. I want answers. Congress must be briefed on the administration's actions."

On the other hand, the Iranian regime, which has ruled out discussing its ballistic missile program, a mainstay of its nuclear program, will be empowered by the upcoming talks in Vienna.

lift sanctions

Rafiqzadeh added that it is ironic that Iran's rulers want the talks to lead to the lifting of non-nuclear-related sanctions, but they do not want to discuss anything other than their nuclear program, such as their terrorist activities.

Since the Biden administration took office, the Iranian regime has been preparing to obtain major concessions.

Iran's rulers made significant progress in their nuclear program before the talks, to gain influence and gain the upper hand during negotiations with the United States and the European Union troika.

When the Biden administration took office, the Iranian regime began to advance its nuclear program at a noticeably faster pace.

On the ninth of last January, the Iranian parliament passed a law requiring the government to expel the nuclear inspectors of the International Atomic Energy Agency.

In January, the Iranian regime began increasing uranium enrichment to 20%, and in April it raised the level of uranium enrichment to 60%, bringing it closer to the levels of enrichment that would enable it to make nuclear weapons.

In addition, the Biden administration made no effort to pressure the Iranian regime to get it to answer questions from the International Atomic Energy Agency, about three secret, undisclosed nuclear sites found in Iran.

And the Director General of the Agency, Rafael Mariano Grossi, warned, saying: "Iran must decide to cooperate more clearly with the Agency to give the necessary clarifications."

He said: "The fact that we have found traces of uranium, and this is a very important matter, and this means that there is a possibility of the existence of nuclear activities and materials that are not subject to international supervision, and we do not know their origin or the nuclei behind their presence, this matter worries me."

Rafiqzadeh concluded his report by saying that the Biden administration and the European Union would do well to remember that they are not promoting peace in the region with every concession they make to Iran, but instead are empowering and encouraging a greedy regime.

• The Biden administration has already acquiesced to the demands of Iran's rulers, as it has not only announced its readiness to lift sanctions related to the Iranian nuclear program, but is also considering lifting sanctions that are not related to the program.

• Iran's rulers want talks to lead to the lifting of non-nuclear-related sanctions, but they don't want to discuss anything other than their nuclear program, such as their terrorist activities.
