The report says that Lithuania continues the information campaign against Belarus, using various instruments of information pressure, up to intimidating its own population with the "nuclear threat of the BelNPP".

Also, the Ministry of Energy said that “unfounded accusations with a clearly politicized subtext” sound “against the background of a clear absence of specific facts of“ insecurity ”of the BelNPP.

The ministry stressed that BelNPP meets the necessary nuclear safety requirements.

Earlier, the Lithuanian Foreign Ministry handed a note of protest to a representative of the Belarusian embassy in connection with Minsk's intention to launch the second power unit of the Belarusian nuclear power plant.
