Champions League: Chelsea slap at Juventus, equal for Atalanta in Bern

Chelsea stunned Juventus 4-0 at Stamford Bridge on matchday five, forcing them to their first European knockout and losing the top of the Group H standings. Goals from Chalobah, James, Hudson-Odoi and Werner decided: Tuchel's team reached and overtakes Allegri's men by virtue of direct clashes, leaving the fight for first place open until the last day. The Londoners start better and after a couple of minutes they miss a great chance with Chilwell, who smooths incredibly from a few steps. In the 25th minute, however, the blues advantage signed by Chalobah arrives, good at pouncing on a dead ball in the area and beating Szczesny for 1-0, after an involuntary assist from Rudiger. The bianconeri respond immediately and go one step away from a draw with Morata,whose lob is miraculously saved by Thiago Silva before entering the goal. Also very good Szczesny on the other side to deny the doubling to James, whose right diagonal was directed to the corner.

Duel that is repeated at the beginning of the second half, but this time the Juventus goalkeeper can do nothing about the stone of the English who is worth the 2-0 of Chelsea in the 56th minute. The bianconeri disappear from the field and at 58 'they also collect the trio of Hudson-Odoi, served by Loftus-Cheek after a splendid choral action of the blues. In the final, at the last second available, there is space and glory also for Werner's definitive poker in the 94th minute.

In the other match of the group, Malmoe and Zenith St. Petersburg 1-1 (1-0), played at the Eleda Stadium in Malmoe (Sweden). The goals: Rieks in the first half for the Swedes in the 28th minute; in the second half Rakitskiy for the Russians on a penalty in the 47th minute. Atalanta drew 3-3 away, on the synthetic pitch in Bern, with Young Boys in the fifth match of group F of the Champions League and keeps the possibility of qualification open. 

Gasperini's team took the lead in the 10th minute of the first half thanks to Duvan Zapata who made the most of a low cross from Freuler, stopping the ball with his left and flying, beating Faivre right in turn. The Nerazzurri waste doubling several times and are punished at the end of the first half. At 39 'on a corner kick, Jordan Siebatcheu's header arrives.

At the beginning of the second half Atalanta continues to push and at 51 'finds the new advantage: on the development of a corner kick, Pasalic in the area touches for Palomino who, flying from a few steps inside the area, puts on the seven far away, where Faivre cannot go.
