The UAE government announced, during the periodic media briefing to introduce the latest developments and cases related to the emerging corona virus in the country, that the proportion of recipients of two doses of the “Corona” vaccine reached 90.02% of the total population of the country, and stressed the importance of obtaining the supporting dose of the vaccine, while ensuring the concept of “ Safe Celebration” and the adoption of a culture of self-responsibility during the national celebrations of “Martyr’s Day” and “National Day”.

The official spokesman for the National Authority for Emergency, Crisis and Disaster Management, Dr. Taher Al-Buraik Al-Amri, said: “The health sector continues its efforts to reach community immunity by providing vaccines to groups eligible to receive vaccination, as the percentage of those receiving the first dose of the total population reached 99.82%, in While the proportion of recipients of two vaccine doses was 90.02% of the total population.

Al-Amiri added: “Through careful monitoring and follow-up of the global epidemiological situation, waves of outbreaks of the virus have been monitored in several countries. Countries experiencing this rise.

He pointed out that the measures taken by the UAE cannot be completed without the presence of an element of self-awareness and collective interaction with the official directives, so we call upon the members of society to adhere to the utmost responsibility, and to ensure self-protection, given that the safety of society is the safety of the individual, and that Everyone is responsible.

And he continued: “Given the specificity of the period of celebrations of national occasions of gatherings and festivities, members of society are requested to take care to follow precautionary measures in an enhanced and more intense manner, including constantly sterilizing, not shaking hands and hugging, promoting physical distancing in general, not gathering, using a mask, and observing symptoms subjectively.”

He stressed the need to ensure the concept of "safe celebration", and to adopt a culture of self-responsibility, by following the approved guidelines and rules, and to adhere to the protocol of national celebrations of "Martyr's Day" and "National Day", where the state relies on the awareness of members of society and their commitment to the provisions contained therein.

He pointed out that the approved protocol for the celebrations stipulates the necessity of showing a negative PCR test result within 96 hours of the event, measuring the temperature before entering, and that the capacity to attend the events does not exceed 80%, with a commitment to wearing a mask all the time, with the application of physical distance of one and a half meters meters, and one family is allowed to sit or stand together.

All age groups of vaccine recipients who have completed 14 days with the booster dose or green pass protocol are allowed to attend.
