Amazon founder Jeff Bezos donated $100 million to a foundation founded by former President Barack Obama.
It is 118.7 billion won in Korean money, the largest amount that an individual has donated to the foundation.
The Obama Foundation said in a statement that Bezos made a large donation in honor of former Congressman Lewis, an icon of the American civil rights movement, and requested that the Obama Center Square under construction in Chicago be renamed 'John Lewis Plaza'.
Former Congressman Lewis, one of the leading black rights activists with Martin Luther King in the 1960s, passed away in July last year.
The foundation said it would use the donations to train the next generation of leaders around the world.
Bezos also donated 197 billion won to the New York University Medical Center.
