The Lebanese singer, Yara, participated in the celebrations of the World Children's Day at "Expo 2020 Dubai", where she launched a new song from Al Wasl Square in cooperation with "UNICEF", centered on the child, titled: "We Want to Live". She said: "My joy is indescribable because here I am singing on a huge stage at (Expo 2020 Dubai), especially on International Children's Day, and thank God that life is gradually returning to normal, after we passed a very difficult stage last year due to the (Covid-19) pandemic. It is difficult to express my feelings as the regional ambassador of (UNICEF), I feel joy and pride and at the same time, I feel a great responsibility.

She added, "Since the moment I entered (Expo 2020 Dubai), I am fascinated by everything I see around me.

I really felt proud, and it is an occasion to pay a very big greeting to the UAE, which embraces the entire world, and to every (Expo) team.

My enthusiasm and joy were doubled because I am here on this very special day, as it is the day of the children who mean the most to me, they are really my weakness.”

She pointed out that "the new song that she launched with (UNICEF), which is for the child (We Want to Live), was written and composed by Tariq Abu Joudeh and distributed by Abbas Al-Sabah, a message from the children of the world, as the child must be helped to live as he deserves, by supporting him with everything he needs. In the hope that the Arab region will enjoy peace, so that the child in it can live in peace, be able to plan for tomorrow, and achieve the successes that he aspires to.. In the end, they are our children, and they are our future.”

Regarding the projects she plans to implement with UNICEF in the future, Yara said, “The past period, and due to the (Covid-19) pandemic, we were unable to expand our activities, and today was actually our first activity together, and my presence here constituted an opportunity to get to know each team. (UNICEF) worked, but we certainly have several projects we are working on, as well as other songs.”
