The Minister presented the results of the visit of the Interior Ministry delegation to the United States.
“This visit took place in the context of the Moldovan-American strategic partnership, it included a meeting with the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), after which the FBI and the Home Office agreed to conclude a formal agreement on the exchange of biometric data within the framework of the Global Exchange of Biometric and Other Identities,” she said, her words are quoted by TASS.
The agreement will provide an opportunity to search the FBI's database of nearly 80 million records.
Earlier in November, it became known that the US State Department intends to allocate more than $ 3 million for programs to "develop" the media and "educate" civil society in Moldova.
