The Dubai Public Prosecution issued 4,873 arrest warrants for convicts, and 7,588 orders to stop searches within 13 months, pointing out that the system of linking between the prosecution and the wanted management of the General Directorate of Investigations in Dubai, which began to be implemented in September of last year, regarding sending and receiving arrest warrants. The Director of Cases Department, Jassim Abdul Rahman Mohammed, said that the electronic link system was a key axis in the commitment to the Dubai strategy for paperless transactions, as a result of the absence of the need to print papers, as well as the absence of the need for human intervention in the process of delivering and receiving those orders.

He added that the system contributed to the provision of at least 15,000 papers during the current year, pointing out that the implementation of the Dubai strategy for paperless transactions, and the commitment to electronic documentation, led to facilitating procedures, shortening a lot of effort and time and accelerating the pace of work, in addition to implementing precautionary measures and achieving prevention from The Covid-19 epidemic.

Crimes in cases related to arrest warrants and search warrants varied, between crimes of public danger to society, crimes against persons and families, and crimes against money and other types.

He explained that the time it takes to send arrest warrants or stop the search to the Investigation Department and receive them by it, has been reduced to only a few minutes after the link, compared to about a working day or two before the linking process, especially since a text message is sent to the convict if an order is issued.
