U.S. President Joe Biden has decided to retain current Chairman Jerome Powell as the next Federal Reserve Chairman.



President Biden said in an email comment to reporters that he had made remarkable progress in the past 10 months after taking office. .



Chairman Powell took office in 2018, nominated by former President Donald Trump.



He was selected as the No. 1 candidate according to the past precedent of many consecutive appointments and the evaluation that he led financial policy smoothly during the economic crisis of the epidemic.



Chairman Powell will begin his second term in February next year if he passes the Senate confirmation hearing.



Fed Director Rayle Brainerd, who was nominated along with Powell for chairman of the Fed, was nominated as vice chairman of the Fed.
