Six young men from one family were keen to travel 1,400 kilometers by road, and to come in their own car from the city of Salalah in the Sultanate of Oman, to Dubai, on a special vacation to visit "Expo 2020 Dubai", and get acquainted, on the ground, with the largest exhibition in the history of international exhibitions. Expo, hosted by the UAE, for the first time in the region.

Muhammad Qatn told "Emirates Today", "The distance of 1,400 kilometers and driving by land for two days, with a rest station in the border city (Al Buraimi), did not stand in the way of my insistence, accompanied by my cousins ​​from the (Qattan) family, to come to Dubai, on vacation. Especially it was arranged, with the aim of visiting (Expo 2020 Dubai), the global event hosted by the UAE, in an exhibition that is a source of pride for all Arabs, as it is being held for the first time in the region, and is the largest and most diverse in the history of (Expo) exhibitions that were launched for the first time in 1851.” .

He added: “The trip was arranged about a month ago, so that our annual vacations from our job agencies coincide, for me and my cousins ​​(Salem, Muhammad, Salim, Ahmed and Saeed), in the same period, allowing us to achieve the goal we set by coming on a road trip from Salalah. To Dubai, visit (Expo 2020 Dubai), and learn about the creative ideas presented by the exhibition in various fields, in an exhibition that succeeded in bringing the world together in one place, and includes under one dome the pavilions of 192 countries and organizations, made of it and with distinction, the largest event in the history of international exhibitions ».

In turn, Salem Qattan said: “We put it within the vacation plan, to take a rest in the border city (Al Buraimi), before continuing the drive towards Dubai, and heading directly to visit (Expo), in light of our different interests, each according to the nature of his work, as the exhibition presents ( Expo Dubai) is an opportunity for us to learn about international companies, whether commercial or tourism, in addition to development projects that focus on sustainability.”

He added: "We have put in the holiday scheme in Dubai to visit (Expo) daily, which allows us to visit most of the exhibition's pavilions, especially the Gulf ones, which we have already started by visiting the (Sultanate) pavilion, and then the UAE and Saudi pavilions, which came with highly advanced engineering designs. ».

Ahmed Qatn pointed out that “going with his cousins ​​on foreign trips and vacations is a common and frequent thing.” Outside the Sultanate, whether individually, without our families in the same way when we came to (Expo) or on vacations with all of our families.”

He concluded: "We will come back to (Expo) again in the coming period, accompanied by our families, and give them the opportunity to visit the exhibition and learn about different civilizations, and the advanced technology displayed by various countries in their pavilions in the exhibition."
