“On November 21, 2021, power unit No. 6 of the VVER-1200 of the Leningrad NPP was disconnected from the network for repair work on the thermal mechanical equipment of the turbine unit,” the press service said.
They said that power units No. 3, No. 4 and No. 5 are in operation.
It is noted that power units No. 1 and No. 2 were shut down for subsequent decommissioning.
The press service added that the radiation background at the nuclear power plant and in the area of its location does not exceed natural background values.
