The Yemeni Houthi group announced - on Saturday - the implementation of a military operation against Saudi Arabia with 14 drones, including refineries belonging to the Aramco oil company, while the Saudi-Emirati coalition said that it had launched a qualitative operation against the group's military targets in several Yemeni cities.
A statement issued by Yahya Saree, the Houthi military spokesman, said that the operation included the bombing of a number of military and vital targets, as the King Khalid base in Riyadh was bombed with 4 Sammad 3 drones.
The statement confirmed that military targets were bombed at King Abdullah International Airport in Jeddah, and Aramco's Jeddah refineries were bombed with 4 Sammad 2 drones.

The coalition added that it carried out 19 operations against the Houthis in the western coastal region of Yemen to support the coastal forces, and carried out 15 targeting operations in Marib and Al-Bayda within 24 hours.

In the Hodeidah governorate, in the west of the country, local and military sources said that the so-called Giants Brigades and the UAE-backed Tihama Resistance made progress, and took control of the areas south and east of the town of Hays in the governorate after violent battles with the Houthi militia.
The sources added that the forces took control of a crossroads between the governorates of Hodeidah and Taiz, and also took control of the Ghazieh Mountains, Wadi Dhami, and Wadi Irfan.
While there was no comment from the Houthis on these developments, Yemeni military sources confirmed that the battles resulted in dozens of deaths - most of them Houthis - and the destruction of military vehicles.
For his part, a Yemeni military source said that the army forces, with the support of tribesmen, repelled violent attacks launched by the armed Houthi movement in Serwah and Al-Juba districts in Ma'rib governorate.
The source added that the coalition warplanes also launched raids targeting Houthi gatherings and vehicles, which led to human losses in their ranks, at a time when there was no comment from the Houthi group.
Yemen has been witnessing for nearly 7 years a continuous war between pro-government forces backed by a Saudi-Emirati alliance, and the Iranian-backed Houthis, who have controlled governorates including the capital, Sanaa, since September 2014.
