“Today, the first of seven ships contracted by DTEK with coal from the United States and Colombia arrived in Ukraine,” the Ukrainian company DTEK Energo said in a statement.
It is noted that the coal is intended for the needs of state-owned thermal power plants of the company "Centrenergo".
The arrival of the remaining consignments of coal to Ukraine is expected during November 2021 - January 2022.
Earlier it became known that coal reserves at Ukrainian thermal power plants decreased by 21.1% over the week, to 378 thousand tons.
