Biden went to the Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Maryland that morning for an annual routine physical examination.

In the meantime, he underwent a colonoscopy, and due to the need for anesthesia, he briefly transferred the presidential authority to Vice President Harris for about 85 minutes.

White House Presidential Doctor Kevin O'Connor wrote in a six-page medical report: “President Biden, 78, is still healthy and full of vitality, and his health is sufficient for the president’s duties. Including responsibilities as president, head of state, and commander-in-chief."

Although Biden's overall health is in good condition, the two conditions O'Connor "attention and get the patient's confirmation" are: Biden frequently "clears his throat" when speaking and gait stiffness problems, both of which require further examination.

The physical examination report pointed out that Biden "cleared his throat" and coughed more frequently and severely during his speech.

O'Connor believes that "in the past few months, these symptoms seem to be more frequent and more pronounced."

This is related to the increase in official activities that Biden has participated in as president. "However, this symptom is obviously present and requires detailed inspection."

The last time Biden announced the results of his medical examination was during his presidential campaign in December 2019.

In November 2020, he slipped and fell while playing with his pet dog, causing a small fracture in his right foot.

O'Connor pointed out that Biden's fracture a year ago may be one of the reasons for affecting gait.

But his fracture healed very well, and no abnormalities were found in his foot and ankle joints.

The White House will form a team of experts in the spine, ankle, physical therapy, and motor neurology to carefully examine and evaluate the president.

The physical examination report showed that Biden was 5 feet 11.65 inches (about 181 cm) tall, weighed 184 pounds, and had a blood pressure of 120/70.

He does not smoke or drink, and exercise at least 5 times a week.
