In his address, he noted that some manufacturers of alcohol and tobacco products sold in Russia use images that are visually similar to the state symbols of the country to decorate the packaging of their goods.

At the same time, in recent years, the state has been implementing a policy aimed at promoting a healthy lifestyle and reducing the level of alcohol and tobacco consumption, which annually directly or indirectly cause serious illness and death of thousands of citizens.

“In this regard, I ask you to assess the feasibility of limiting the sale of alcohol and tobacco products in Russia, for the design of consumer packaging of which images were used that were visually similar to the state symbols of the Russian Federation,” the appeal says.

Earlier, the Ministry of Finance proposed to increase the minimum cost of vodka by 7.4% - from 243 to 261 rubles per 0.5 liter bottle.

The minimum price for cognac can be increased by 7.6% - from 446 to 480 rubles for a 0.5 liter container.
