According to the latest news from the China Meteorological Administration, from the 19th to the 22nd, a strong cold air will affect most of China from west to east, and many places will experience strong winds to cool down the weather.

Experts said that the impact of this cold air process is basically similar to the cold wave around the beginning of winter (November 4-9). Eighty percent of my country's land will be affected. It has the characteristics of wide impact, low minimum temperature, and strong wind on land and sea.

Are the long trousers and down jackets of the friends arranged?

Cooling by more than 12℃ in many places

The latest forecast from the Central Meteorological Observatory shows that from November 19 to 22, a strong cold air will affect most of China from west to east.

According to Hu Xiao, chief meteorological analyst of China Weather Network, from the 19th to the 20th, the cold air will take the lead in bringing strong winds to Xinjiang, the central and western parts of Inner Mongolia, Qinghai, Gansu, Ningxia and other places; from the 21st to the 22nd, it will affect most of the central and eastern regions. ; On the 23rd, the cold air even affected the northern part of Hainan Island.

Affected by this, the temperature in parts of the northwest and central and eastern regions will drop by 6~10℃. Among them, the temperature will drop by 12~14℃ in western Inner Mongolia, western Shanxi, eastern Huanghuai, central eastern Jianghuai, northern Jiangnan and southwestern China.

Most of the above areas are accompanied by northerly winds of magnitude 4 to 6, and gusts of magnitude 7 to 9 in central and western Inner Mongolia, northern North China, and eastern Northeast China.

There will be strong winds of magnitude 7 to 9 and gusts of magnitude 10 in the eastern and southern waters of my country.

After the temperature drop, on the morning of the 23rd, the 0°C line of the lowest temperature will press south from the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River to the northern part of the Sichuan Basin. The lowest temperature in South China is only about 10°C.

Beijing, Shanghai, Nanjing, Hangzhou, Xi'an, Zhengzhou, Nanchang and other more than 10 provincial capital cities and municipalities directly under the central government have the lowest temperature in the second half of the year, which is colder than the last cold wave. Among them, the lowest temperature in the Beijing Plain can drop from -3°C to -6 Around ℃, Harbin and Changchun will fall below minus 10℃ for the first time after winter, and Hefei will fall below 0℃ for the first time after autumn.

The cold and humid south expands and the northeast Xinjiang is full of heavy snow

This round of cold air will bring a wide range of rain and snow.

After a short intermission of rain in the southern region, on the 19th, the rainfall in Chongqing, Guizhou, Hunan, Jiangxi and other places will increase again. From the 20th to 21st, the rainfall continues to expand eastward. The eastern part of the southwestern region, Jianghan, Jianghuai, There will be rainfall in Jiangnan, South China, Huanghuai and other places, mainly light to moderate rain, and local heavy rain.

The snowfall in the north will be concentrated in Xinjiang and Northeast. It is expected that the eastern and northeastern areas of Inner Mongolia will experience a round of significant snowfall from the 21st to the 23rd. Among them, there will be light to moderate snow or sleet in the northern Xinjiang, eastern Inner Mongolia and northeastern regions. , There was heavy snow in parts of northern Xinjiang, Heilongjiang, and eastern Jilin; the cumulative snowfall was 5-20 mm, and the local area in northeastern Heilongjiang was about 30 mm.

Strengthen cold and warmth, pay attention to traffic safety

Meteorological experts said that the cold air process has the characteristics of wide impact, low minimum temperature, and strong wind on land and sea. Gale, cooling, rain and snow will appear on the scene one after another. The public needs to take measures to prevent cold and warm. In addition, it is recommended to burn coal. The public in heating areas pay attention to the safety of heating with fire to prevent carbon monoxide poisoning.

Xinjiang, Inner Mongolia, and Northeast China need to pay attention to the adverse effects of wet and slippery roads, snow and icing caused by rain and snow weather on traffic travel, and pay attention to traffic safety.

It is expected that the local strong snowfall in Northeast China may have certain extremes. For example, there will be a strong snowfall in Heilongjiang on the 22nd, especially in the vicinity of Jiamusi and Hegang. The intensity of snowfall may be close to or break the November record and form obvious snow accumulation. Be vigilant. Snowfall and snow accumulation may cause disasters, so take precautions in advance.

At the same time, the high wind cooling is not good for epidemic prevention and control, urban operation, and agriculture and animal husbandry. It is necessary to make wind-proof and reinforcement of facilities, sheds, livestock pens, and temporary structures in advance.

The eastern and southern sea areas need to guard against the adverse effects of high winds on maritime traffic and operations.

How many cold air events will follow?

Earlier this month, the National Climate Center predicted that this winter (December 2021 to February 2022), the cold air activities affecting my country will be frequent and strong. The temperature in the central and eastern regions is generally colder, and the temperature fluctuations in the season will be large. .

This winter will form a weak to moderate La Niña event, and the probability of a cold winter will increase.

According to Jia Xiaolong, deputy director of the National Climate Center, based on historical data analysis, in the winter when most La Niña events reach their peak, cold air activities affecting China are more frequent and stronger than usual. The temperature in most of the central and eastern regions is higher than usual. The probability of being low during the same period is greater.

It is expected that the cold air will still be more and more intense in the latter part of the winter, especially in the northern regions, there will be phases of strong cooling and heavy snowfall, and the southern regions will experience low-temperature rain, snow and freezing weather, which will have a greater impact on agriculture, transportation, and energy infrastructure. The climate change in winter is relatively large, and the public should pay attention to the changes in the weather and add clothes to keep warm in time.
