November 18, 2021 Taxi drivers unions confirm the national strike announced earlier this month and reiterate that they will cross their arms next Wednesday, November 24, from 8 to 22.

The protest initiatives will continue until "Article 8 of the competition bill is withdrawn. and the implementing decrees of Law 12 of 2019 will not be issued ".

The taxi drivers explain: "With the bill an agreement is betrayed to benefit the multinationals. We respond with unified demonstrations to the bitter end".

The protest of the white cars, already announced last week, is against the reorganization of the non-scheduled urban mobility services included in the competition bill.

The white cars, coming from all over Italy, foresee a concentration in the morning at the Termini station in Rome, from which a procession will start up to Piazza Santi Apostoli. Taxi drivers confirm the procession from Termini station but are still waiting for the green light from the police headquarters for the arrival in Piazza Santi Apostoli and are already thinking of an alternative.

In the leaflet that will be prominently displayed on each taxi (with its Qr code), the words "On November 24 I strike because ..." and below we read: "Strike because I defend my work from those who would like to destroy the public service, 40,000 businesses and 40,000 families; strike because I want to continue to guarantee you a certain, visible, administered rate; strike so that you do not fall prey to a cold price multiplier that doubles, triples, depending on the demand for rides; strike because like you, I'm tired of paying the taxes that multinationals evade; I strike because I want certain rules for everyone and not a jungle in which the smartest or the most thief wins; I strike because like you, I sacrifice every moment of mine to give dreams and a future dignified to my family ".And it closed with the words in bold: "Against politics colluding with multinationals".
