Earlier, the chairman of the State Duma of Russia, Vyacheslav Volodin, said that the lower house of the Russian parliament would send a bill on the QR code system by December 14 to the regions, as well as to the Public Chamber, the Federation Council and the Accounts Chamber.

On November 12, the government reported that the Cabinet of Ministers sent to the State Duma bills on the use of QR codes in public places and on some types of transport.

Svetlana Bessarab, member of the State Duma Committee on Labor, Social Policy and Veterans Affairs, in an interview with RT, commented on plans to introduce a QR code system in Russia, calling it a necessary measure.
