The man is also deported from the country and banned from returning for ten years.

At the time of the incident, the man and the woman were married, but according to the verdict, the relationship was over.

The woman instead lived with another man in the apartment in Värnamo where the crime was then committed.

Stopped in Bredaryd

It was late on September 29 that the man, along with two other masked men, smashed the window of the apartment where his wife lived.

The woman has stated in interrogation that her husband then took a knife and ran after his boyfriend when he fled up to his mother's apartment one floor up.

After a while he then came back, grabbed his wife's hands and pulled her out of the apartment.

Thanks to the police receiving a Snapchat position from the woman's mobile phone, the car in which the man and woman were traveling could be stopped outside Bredaryd.

The suspected man claims that he did not commit any crime but believes that the woman followed voluntarily.

But he is now sentenced to two years and two months in prison for unlawful deprivation of liberty, serious domestic violence, assault in court and drunk driving.
