The background is that the ruling parties in Linköping have decided that the municipality will stop with the LOV (law on freedom of choice) within the home care service in order to instead reorganize so that it will be procured from 2023.

The announcement has been criticized and led, among other things, to demonstrating pensioners earlier in the autumn.

Push on the future

The decision should have been made now on November 18, but may be postponed to the future.

The reason is that Kommunal and the municipality must have a central negotiation.

The municipality had previously called a press conference on Friday due to the decision - but Linköping municipality announces in a press release that the press conference is postponed to the future due to the negotiation.
