According to information from BFMTV, a craftsman was sentenced to eighteen months in prison for having threatened three times a couple of teachers in Marseille.

The two professors had received several letters at their home, one of which included a photo of Samuel Paty, this professor who died beheaded in October 2020 in Conflans-Sainte-Honorine.

These threats occurred in September and October, a few days before the anniversary date of this attack.

A man had been taken into custody, and from the start of the investigation, the police had established that the facts had no connection with the profession of the victims, according to the statements of the prosecutor of the Republic of Marseille, Dominique Laurens .
