According to Ile de France Mobilités, the supply of transport in the Paris region, all means of transport combined, is stagnating at 3% below what it was before the health crisis.
“
We would like to return to the same level of traffic as before on all lines, but for the moment, we have only found 80% of the passenger volume
,
”
explains Sébastien from Ile de France Mobilités.
The increase in supply is therefore gradual and is done on a case-by-case basis.
For the moment, only five metro lines have returned to their initial traffic: the two automatic lines (the 4 and the 1), as well as the lines 7, 9 and 13.
“
But for the 4, we are about 94% of traffic, he adds.
So we are really not far.
"
A progressive transport offer
For most of the other lines, the transport offer is also quite close to what it was before March 2020. The decrease in transport is therefore not very noticeable, especially in the metro.
RER lines A and B as well as train lines K, J, L, B and R have also reached their initial offer.
Ultimately, all public transport should also regain its former flow.
But
"
this is being done gradually
"
, according to Ile de France Mobilités.
