This came during the visit of His Highness to the Expo 2020 Dubai, accompanied by His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Minister of State and Director General of Expo 2020 Dubai, Reem bint Ibrahim Al Hashemi, during which His Highness inspected a number of country pavilions. Participation, where he was briefed on the innovations, ideas and landmarks contained therein, of heritage and culture, and the nature of those countries that were keen to promote them through this global forum, especially since it was held for the first time in the Middle East, Africa and South Asia.

His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum visited the pavilion of the Federal Republic of Germany located in the "Sustainability" area, which is one of the largest international pavilions participating in this session, and bears the slogan "Germany Forum", and its design was inspired by the university campus, in embodiment of the ideas that It contains and focuses mainly on science and knowledge, technological development and the research and innovation environment, with an interest in employing digital technologies and artificial intelligence on a large scale.

His Highness toured the various sections of the pavilion, which includes laboratories for energy, the city of the future and biodiversity, through which dozens of German innovations that serve to enhance sustainability are presented, most notably solar cells for energy generation and sustainable food production technologies, as well as ideas related to giant future cities. The pavilion engages its visitors in experiences that bring them closer to the idea of ​​sustainability through practical coexistence.

In addition, His Highness, the Crown Prince of Dubai, visited the Italian pavilion in the Al Forsan area, under the slogan “Beauty brings people together.” The design of the pavilion is characterized by the use of natural materials from the environment that can be recycled in its construction, including four million plastic bottles that were captured from the sea, to confirm On the idea of ​​environmental conservation and sustainability.

During the visit, His Highness watched the Botanical Garden, which includes a group of trees and plants for which Italy is famous, while the pavilion combined the past and the future, through the “Memory Theater” hall, which displays features from the Renaissance in Italy, while the pavilion includes a model of a space rocket. Vega C, which Italy is co-producing in cooperation with the European Space Agency.

During a tour of the pavilion of the Republic of Cuba, which is located in the Sustainability District, His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum saw the components of the pavilion that showcase Cuban customs, traditions, heritage and folklore arts, as well as features of traditional industries.
