It is noted that the Russians did not have passports with them, they were taken to the police station in the southern part of the city of Kosovska-Mitrovica.

The local prosecutor's office decided to detain them for 48 hours to establish their identity and clarify the circumstances of their stay in the region.

After that, an employee of the office of the Russian embassy left for Kosovska-Mitrovica, he was given access to his compatriots.

The Russians said that they entered Kosovo in a rented car on the way to Novi Pazar by accident, guided by the recommendations of a navigation device.

Russian citizens were provided with food and the services of a lawyer.

On November 16, the court began an expedited process.

As stated in the prosecutor's office of Kosovska-Mitrovica, a decree was adopted to expel the Russians from the territory of Kosovo.
