November 16, 2021 Discomfort and flooding due to a storm that hit some municipalities in the province of Palermo on Tuesday afternoon. Among the most affected areas, that of Termini Imerese, where some motorists were stuck due to high water. Rivers of water poured into the lower part of the city and dozens of calls reached the fire brigade operations room.



Rain, hail and strong gusts of wind also in the province of Agrigento, where intense rainfall hit the areas already severely hit by the wave of bad weather in recent days. Discomforts due to violent storms occurred in Racalmuto, Grotte, Ribera and Favara. In Sciacca, a whirlwind touched a fishing boat. Several trees uprooted by the fury of the wind and roads transformed into rivers.   



A depression between Tunisia and the two major Italian islands continues to convey impulses of disturbed weather, at times even intense: in this context, rains and thunderstorms are still expected that will first affect Sardinia, and then also reach Sicily and Campania on the sectors. coastal.

This was underlined by the Department of Civil Protection which, in agreement with the regions involved, issued a warning of adverse weather conditions.



On the basis of the expected and ongoing phenomena, an orange alert was assessed for tomorrow, Wednesday 17 November, over a large part of Sicily and the eastern sector of Sardinia.

Furthermore, a yellow alert was assessed on some sectors of Marche, Abruzzo, Campania, Basilicata, Puglia, Calabria, Sardinia and the rest of Sicily.
