The Paradise Orchestra, the leading women's orchestra led by musician AR Rahman, winner of "Oscar" and "Grammy" awards, added two more performances to its program of events at Expo 2020 Dubai.

The “Firdaws Orchestra” presented its performance in celebration of the International Day for Tolerance, yesterday, at seven in the evening, and it will present its second concert on the International Children’s Day, next Saturday, at three in the evening, led by Maestro Yasmina Sabbah, in the Jubilee Park in “Expo 2020 Dubai”.

Some of the songs of the world of cinema have a local feel, using regional instruments and musical settings during the International Day for Tolerance, which will also feature children from the James Legacy School choir.

Featuring music tracks from some of the most beloved films and series from around the world, the show highlights inclusion and coexistence through music by a diverse group of composers, including: The Bombay Theme, I Am My Heart My Guide, and Jay Ho from the movie. "Slumdog Millionaire", and solos from Cinema Paradiso.

AR Rahman said, “Tolerance and coexistence are the two threads that bind society.

When we celebrate our diversity, we unite in our strength.

We are happy to participate in this great event and highlight music in the cultural diversity and civilization of tolerance that the arts spread through sound and word.”

As for World Children’s Day, the Paradise Orchestra collaborates with singer Khadija Rahman, daughter of musician AR Rahman, and 16-year-old pianist Lydian Nadaswaram, to play nostalgic musical pieces, with performances including “Disney classics” such as : "Beauty and the Beast" and "The Mermaid".
